Car service conversation on the way back to Manhattan from Brooklyn:
- Me: "I'm sad we're leaving the party early, but I'm glad to be back in the city."
- Michelle: "I already feel safer."
- Yeps.
- (Edit: "safer" as in able to walk home from anywhere once we crossed the Williamsburg Bridge. And closer to our own beds. Brooklyn is as safe as Manhattan, folks. It's just that, well, we happen to love our neighborhoods best.)
