The Alphabet City community gardens are now open! For as long as I can remember, the one on 7th and Ave C has been lined with tin can flowers along the fence.

This has always been one of my favorite places in New York City. I call it the abandoned band shell, though I did some research last year and found out it’s not exactly abandoned. Ha. It’s called the East River Park Amphitheater, and while I personally haven’t seen much more than random Shakespeare performed or people hanging out here, looks like there are concerts once in awhile.
I want to host a show, or a party, or a something here. Light it up. Everything is possible… so why not, right?
